About The Writer

My Name is Myles Corey & I’m a 27-year-old entrepreneur based in the United Kingdom & over the last 5 years, I have built a multi-million-pound business taken from a position of insolvency. I created this blog due to a recent turn in my health situation, writing this blog to help others was a good thing for me while I was unable to do anything else & it’s fulfilling my passion to help other entrepreneurs on their journey. I'm on the road to recovery now, but it'll be a long one! 5 years of running a business has been challenging, but I hope the lessons I have learnt can be passed on to others in a positive manner. This blog is written to share my experiences & passion for building a more successful life for myself, my family & future generations to come. I hope to help individuals learn the fundamental principles required to follow their entrepreneurial goals, from a dream through to building their own success story, not only in business but in personal life too and maybe aid you with advice that would prevent you from hitting the same trip ups that I've had to learn from.

Forewarned is Forearmed.

Being an entrepreneur is more than just being a business executive or an employee. And way more than being handed a business down from another family generation. Others think they can relate to the mindset and the shoes you had to learn to fill. My body giving up on me at such a young age was a blessing in disguise, because it taught me that I was better than the bs I’ve taken over the last 5 years & built the mindset I have right now. Anyone that knows me will tell you I never give up on anything, ever. The US Navy SEALs use an expression, and it goes something like this ‘everybody wants to get to heaven, but nobody wants to die to get there’. If like me you’re willing to push all boundaries to find your heaven, but don’t go the right way around it, you’re only going to kill yourself trying to get there, trust me I've had to learn the hard way. The first thing you need to learn is to grow a heart of pure iron, I wish I had it years ago instead of having a heart of gold and trying to help everyone else around you – know what you’re doing it for and don’t take on added weight along the way, learn how to defend yourself against people who will just hang onto your success, learn how to say no, learn how to show yourself respect before putting respect for another before your own health (mental & physical), know when to leave things for another day and most importantly be proud of what you are achieving – people along the way will tell you you’re a snob, a nob, not who you used to be or you’ve grown too big for your boots, but that’s just jealousy talking – f*** them. By calculation, I am the most underpaid employee in my business. I give more time, more dedication & more push than any-one else ever could have, but that's what you will have to face too, if it’s your business & your dream, then it’s your burden to deal with. I had to learn the weak spots in my own foundations, my own decorum, my kindness & my willingness to succeed. People questioned my loyalty & my strength of character and threw dirt on my name while I continued to defend & protect them. I’d like to say it stops but it really doesn’t. So, I wrote this blog to teach others the real me, the real things I’ve had to go through in hope that one day another would be able to avoid the same consequences as I had to face. In Japanese culture, they say you have 3 faces, 1 that you show to your family, another you show to your friends & the last that is you when you're at home alone behind closed doors - this whole blog is me in the last one, I couldn't care less if someone reading takes offence.

Let’s begin with a little taster…

I believe there is 1 key fundamental principle required to take your goal to reality & I will explain.

Jeff Bezos started his business in his garage, as did Steve Jobs. Richard Branson started in a phone booth. Alan Sugar started in the back of a van. Ralph Lauren started by selling colourful ties! What did all of these individuals have in common? They never gave up on what they believed they could achieve.

In the 21st Century, it seems we are spoon fed everything in society & the availability of resources has tutored our minds to give up on something that is too difficult & go for the easier option, because there are plenty more easier options to choose from. It is a small known fact that only 10% of people attempt something again after the first time of not being successful, then only 10% of the remaining people will attempt it again after failing the second time & only 10% will attempt it again the third time. The difference between the aforementioned individuals (the successful entrepreneurs) & the ones that did not make it is, that in the face of adversity they brushed themselves off, got back up & attempted everything again. If you want to get to where you want to be in life, you should not be scared of the red tape that tells you no, you should not be discouraged by the people that think your idea is not possible & you should not tell yourself or listen to others who tell you that your dream could not be achieved â€“ each time you fail at your attempt you have to get back up, learn from your mistake & go again - rise above everything & everyone - and most importantly, do it for you. The biggest difference I’ve learnt in life, that sets me apart from the doubters, idiots & tough characters in life – is that I do not give up & there is no embarrassment or brute force that could make me do so. When I make mistakes I take responsibility, brush myself off, learn lessons from them & now wish to pass them onto others.

Keep pushing, keep thinking, keep fighting & NEVER EVER EVER give up!
